Eden Man Charged With Death of Former S.U. Alumni Association President

(SALISBURY, Md.)- A Wicomico County man faces homicide by motor vehicle charges in connection to the death of a former president of the Salisbury University's Alumni Association, Rob T. Schultheis.

Brent Morgan Taylor, 44, of Eden, was indicted Thursday, April 7, in Wicomico County. The indictment followed the investigation of a motor vehicle collision that Taylor was involved in back on October 16 2015. Authorities said Schultheis was struck by a truck, driven by Taylor, while running. Schultheis graduated from S.U. in 2000, then went on to join the alumni association in 2004. It was in three years ago, when he was honored for his volunteerism within the organization.

The collision was investigated by the Wicomico Sheriff's Office Collision Reconstruction Unit and that included an investigation into the possible impairment of Taylor.

Taylor was transported to the Detention Center where he was detained without bond pending an appearance in front of a Circuit Court Judge.
