DELMARVA- From patriotic parades to crab races and plenty of fireworks, the Fourth of July weekend is packed with celebrations across Delmarva.
Fireworks Displays Light Up the Coast
Fireworks are set to dazzle the skies all weekend long. In Lewes, the show will launch from Lewes Beach at dusk on Friday.
Dewey Beach plans its fireworks over the Rehoboth Bay around 8:30 p.m., followed by Bethany Beach’s display around 9:30 p.m.
Rehoboth Beach is holding off for a Saturday night show.
Crab Races in Long Neck
The 20th annual Crab Races return to Long Neck this Saturday at AMVETS Post 2. The quirky local tradition is fun for all ages and draws a crowd every year.
Lewes Farmers Market Celebrates 20 Years
The Historic Lewes Farmers Market is marking its 20th anniversary with a special celebration on Saturday. Festivities begin with a tractor-led opening parade at 8 a.m., followed by birthday cake at 10 and plenty of fresh, local food throughout the morning.
Maull House Tours in Lewes
Also in Lewes, the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will host tours of the historic Maull House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The house is one of the oldest in the area and offers a glimpse into local history.
