SUSSEX COUNTY, Del.- Get a head start in Valentine's Day Shopping! Friday and Saturday is the Rehoboth Beach Art League's annual Jewelry Trunk Show. The show features local jewelers and their unique rings, bracelets, necklaces, and more. It's free to come and browse.
"The artists that were juried in are from the region and are Rehoboth Art League member artists, so they can do an array of things. Special gems, sea glass, a bit of everything really," said executive director, Sara Ganter.
Sunday is the annual Lewes Polar Bear Plunge. This year it's virtual, but you can still take the plunge and show support. Organizers are asking you to avoid open bodies of water and instead, get creative at home. Last year the event raised over 1-million dollars for Special Olympics Delaware.
"Every single athlete participates completely free. That includes facilities, uniforms, registration fees, and no other state can claim that," said Jon Buzby with Special Olympics Delaware.
Sunday Iron Hill is showing the big game, but deals and specials run all weekend long. The brewery is offer fan favorite football food including wings, egg rolls, and pizza.
"My favorite is the cheesesteak egg rolls. It's really like a south Philly cheesesteak in a egg roll wrapper. It's really delicious and the horse radish chive sauce is awesome. That, with a Philly Favorite beer," said general manager of Iron Hill in Rehoboth Beach, Chris Berghaus.
"Along with delicious food specials, Saturday and Sunday only, you can get a complimentary growler. Fill it up with your favorite brew, and only pay for the beer. If you can't decide, mix and match. This weekend you can get four, 4-packs of beer for 45-dollars. Specials apply for dine-in and takeout.
