DELAWARE/MARYLAND - Event organizers are doing their anti-rain dance given Saturday's forecast. Festivals, fundraisers and 5Ks are just some of the events raising money and awareness for different causes rain or shine this weekend.

BARK ON THE BOARDS

The Brandywine Valley SPCA and Browseabout Books are teaming up to host the annual Bark on the Boards Block Party on Saturday, October 14. There will be yoga with puppies, a dock dogs diving contest, a pet costume contest and more all by the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. CoastTV News Anchor Mallory Metzner is the event emcee.

CAMP REHOBOTH BLOCK PARTY

Rounding out the weekend of Rehoboth Beach block parties, CAMP Rehoboth will have its on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Baltimore Avenue. Organizers say admission is free, but donations to benefit the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center are encouraged.

DOWNTOWN DESSERT TOUR

Take Milford's Downtown Dessert Tour on Saturday. The city says the self-guided tour presents the chance to win prizes from local bakeries. Organizers say pick up a flyer at any participating bakery on the tour. You must buy something at the register to receive a stamp to win prizes.

BARN DANCE

A barbeque, bourbon tasting and barn dance can be found at Southern Delaware Therapeutic Riding in Milton Saturday night. The annual fundraiser will also have live music and auctions from 6 to 10 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at sdtrhr.com.

APPLE SCRAPPLE

The 30th annual Apple Scrapple Festival is set to take place in the streets of Bridgeville on Friday and Saturday. Other than apples and scrapple, there's a carnival, live performances, crafters, vendors and more. The carnival starts at 4 p.m. on Friday and then at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

FEEL GOOD FRIDAY

Hudson Fields is the site of Autism Delaware's Walk for Autism on Saturday. The event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

ASHELY FURIO 5K

The Ashley Furio 5K starts at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Crooked Hammock in Lewes and raises money for the Children's Beach House's Margaret H. Rollins Child Development Center. Sign up for the 6th annual event at runsignup.com.

SHUCK CANCER 5K

Big Oyster in Lewes is hosting the Shuck Cancer 5K on Sunday. The race starts at 9 a.m. sharp. This event raises money to help give strength, beauty, and empowerment to women who are on their cancer journey. Sign up at runsignup.com.

PUNKIN ALE FEST

The Dogfish Head Tasting Room & Kitchen in Milton will host the Punkin Ale Fest on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Organizers say it's a fall festival inspired by the brewery’s iconic Punkin Ale. The event is free and offers food trucks, vendors, art and live music. The event also features a new limited-edition fall beer brewed in collaboration with Salisbury-based craft brewery, Burnish Beer Co., and a special spirit release created in partnership with Fifer Orchards. 

BRONCO BEACH BASH

Ford Broncos will be rolling through the Ocean City Inlet Parking lot in four-wheel drive on Saturday and Sunday for a sand crawl, beach course and more at the first ever Bronco Beach Bash. All makes and models are welcome to the Bronco celebration.

SHOPPING EXTRAVAGANZA 

The "Fall into the Holidays Shopping Extravaganza" will be open for business at the Powellville Fire Company from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Oyster Fritters and baked goods from the Ladies Auxiliary will be on the menu.
