ANGOLA, Del. - Flooding lingers along the coast after severe weather Tuesday night.

John Brady of the Fox Hollow community in Angola sent a photo to CoastTV News of his mailbox surrounded by water. He says mail hasn't been delivered since before the storm arrived on January 9.

"Lewes Fire Department couldn't get down here and they had that problem before driving Santa Claus around," Brady says. "They had to stop and back the fire truck up."

As these flood levels rise so do Brady's health and safety concerns for himself and his neighbors who have wells.

"I'm going to have to get it tested to see if it's contaminated," Brady says. "I've had to replace two pump motors in the past two years because they rusted out pumping water in the well and I've had two breaches in the well."

According to Brady, the state and county have been talking about potential flooding fixes in his neighborhood for about three years and he hopes they have a project approved soon.
