(GEORGETOWN, Del.)- The Georgetown Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at the China Wok restaurant located at 401 College Park Lane.
On March 9, 2016, at approximately 1:00 AM, police responded to the China Wok in reference to an alarm activation.
Upon arrival on scene, officers observed that front door glass and front window to the business had been shattered.
Officers entered the restaurant to check for any suspects and none were located. Store personnel were contacted and responded to the scene.
Store personnel and officers were able to review surveillance footage of the burglary from the restaurant's video system. It showed two subjects hitting the front window with a baseball bat. They were unable to break through this window and moved to the front door.
They were able to shatter the glass on the door and enter the restaurant. The two attempted to get into the register of the business, however, were unsuccessful.
The two did remove a tip jar, with an undetermined amount of money, located on the front counter of the restaurant.
The two fled back out the front door and appeared to go in an easterly direction. The Georgetown Police are asking the public to contact them with any information if they may recognize the suspects from attached photos.
