Grain On The Rocks Lewes Announces Socially Distant Fall Concert Series

LEWES, Del.- After positive feedback from a summer concert series, Grain On The Rocks has announced its lineup for the Rocking The Docks Fall concert series.

The restaurant is the new kid on the block next to the ferry terminal, but they have seen great success especially with their concert series. As challenging as it may be to run an outdoor concert in the COVID-19 era, Lee Mikles and his co-owners have been working hard to comply with all safety guidelines.

"We work with the state and the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) to come up with a COVID compliant seating chart," Mikles said. "You pick your seat online and its a twelve foot by twelve foot square. You can have up to eight family members in your square. When you come in you wear your mask in your square, you sit down in your square, and you have your food and drink brought to you in our square so you never have to leave your seat until the show is over."

Grain is known for its traditional American food and having fresh brewed beers and well-crafted cocktails. According to General Manager Jason Meisner, Rocking The Docks has helped build the culture of the craft bar and kitchen.

"Music is vitally important to us," Meisner said. "I think just being able to present something to the community, especially with us being new members of the community. We really want to gravitate towards that community leadership role. Being able to present a live concert series with 58 perfectly spaced squares are really important to us."

Three shows have been scheduled to kick off the fall concert series. You can rock with the artists starting Sunday, September 20 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are being sold at https://meetatgrain.com/lewesrockingthedocks for $40 per square with a three dollar fee.
