(Lewes, Del) - The Lewes Police Department is investigated a Home Improvement Fraud that happened in August at a home on Samantha Drive in the City of Lewes. Police say an elderly couple in their 80's entered into a contract with Frederick Maahs, also known by the company name "Freddy Fix-it". Maahs is a white male, date of birth 7/25/1941 with a last known address of Spruce Road in Rehoboth Beach. Maahs agreed to build a deck on their home and the victim's gave him a down payment of $3,000. The suspect left and has not returned nor has he performed any work. Various investigative leads have been followed in an attempt to locate Maahs without success.
The suspect is wanted by Lewes Police for Felony Home Improvement Fraud and is additionally wanted for similar offenses by the Wilmington Police, Georgetown Police and Milton police.\
