(DAGSBORO, De.) - The Beau Biden Foundation is providing sexual abuse prevention training for the Indian River School District this summer.
Approximately 60 administrators attended the first half-day seminar on July 7th.
The training includes open discussions and commentary from child sexual abuse survivors.
Patty Dailey Lewis, Executive Director of the Beau Biden foundation says she wants people to know the facts.
"I hope that they will gain the knowledge that 1 in 10 children will be molested by the time they are 18 years old, and that 90% of their molesters are known to the child."
The Beau Biden Foundation will hold another training session for new teachers on August 24th during the district's annual "New Teacher Week."
