Laurel Murder Suspect Extradited and Arraigned

SUSSEX COUNTY, Del.- The man charged with murdering a Seaford woman and abusing her corpse has been extradited and arraigned in Delaware.

Delaware State Police say Joseph Beck was extradited from Stafford County, Virginia and appeared in a Delaware Justice of the Peace court on Thursday. Beck has been formally charged with Murder First Degree, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited and Abuse of Corpse.

Beck had been in a Virginia Jail since March 13th, where he was arrested for a DUI. Search warrant affadavits in Virginia stated that Beck was living with Tia Tucker and another woman before Tucker's body was found alongside a Laurel roadway.

After being arraigned, Beck was transported to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center. He's being held on a $2,062,000.00 cash only bond.
