Following the mass shooting yesterday in California, the discussion of gun control continues.

"Guns, oh my goodness, I like guns, I think they can be very beneficial and they can also destroy. Any of the assault weapons, nobody should possess them unless they are involved in the military or the police force," said Dave Kiser today in Berlin.

"I would feel safer if I had a little gun right with me because I'm not going to hurt anybody, but you never know who is going to hurt you," said Pat Mulligan from Snow Hill.

Under Maryland law you must have a license to purchase a handgun. To carry, transport or wear an illegal firearm is a misdemeanor not a felony in Maryland.
