(OCEAN VIEW, Del.)- Lightning sparked two fires in the area. Those fires along with several others made for a busy couple of days for fire fighters on Delmarva.
A thunder and lightning storm moved in overnight, striking a home in Seaford and in Newark.
Crews in Newark responded to a fire around 7 p-m. Monday night. Five hours later, firemen in Seaford were called to Johnson Road.
Fortunately, the occupants managed to escape safely and there were no injuries in both fires.
No injuries were also reported in an Ocean View house fire Tuesday morning.
Crews from Millville, Bethany Beach, Roxana and Selbyville were called to a home on Katie Street around 5:30 a.m.
Apparently, the woman who owns the home was down the street at her 92-year-old mother's home, taking care of her, at the time of the fire. The caused is still under investigation.
