(Laurel, Del) - Laurel Police arrested a Georgia man following a domestic incident in Laurel Saturday October 8, 2016. According to Police Robert Hill broke into his ex-girlfriend's residence and physically assaulted her. He then stole her cell phone so she was unable to call for help. The ex-girlfriend was taken to an area hospital where she was treated for her injuries and released. During a traffic stop Hillwas arrested and taken into custody. Police say he had a pending warrant for his arrest from an earlier domestic incident involving the woman. Hill was charged with Home Invasion, Strangulation, Terroristic Threatening, 2 counts of Assault Third Degree and 2 counts of Theft Under $1500.00. Defendant Hill was arraigned by Judge Jewell/Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of a $48,000.00 cash bond.
