Maryland Gunman Charged After Three Deadly Shootings, Including Shooting Death of Estranged Wife

(BETHESDA, Md.)- The 62-year-old Federal Protective Service officer, who is suspected of three deadly shootings in Maryland, is being held without bond.

Eulalio Tordil, of Adelphi, Maryland, is the accused gunman in the shooting deaths of three people, including his estranged wife, 44-year-old Gladys Ubaldo Tordil, police said. He's also accused of shooting and injuring three others in attacks in Prince George's and Montgomery Counties, over two days.

Gladys Ubaldo Tordil was shot dead while waiting in her vehicle in a parking lot at High Point High School in Prince George's County, Maryland. The shooting happened Thursday around 4:30 p.m. Another parent who tried to intervene, was also shot, the Prince George's County Police Department said in a press release. His name was not released, but he is expected to survive, police said. No students were injured, police said.

In Friday's incident, police said a man died and two other victims were injured after a shooting at the Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, Maryland. The mall was not placed on lockdown, authorities said. Police were on the scene.

Minutes later at a separate shooting, a woman was dunned down at a Giant grocery store in Aspen Hill, Maryland, on Friday. Nearby Walter Johnson High School told students and staff to shelter in place, NBC Washington reported.

Tordil is scheduled for a bond review hearing Monday.
