Nascar "Outlaw" Ordered to Steer Clear of Ex-Girlfriend

(DOVER, Del.)- A Kent county judge has ruled for Nascar driver Kurt Busch to steer clear of his Ex-Girlfriend Patricia Driscoll.

Family Court Commissioner David Jones made the ruling after a 4-Day hearing back in December and early January.

The driver known in Nascar circles as ''The Outlaw'' was accused of assaulting Driscoll inside his motorhome at Dover International Speedway in September.

He allegedly grabbed her by the face and neck then slammed her head three times into a bedroom wall, according to the lawsuit.

The judge's order prohibits Busch from buying or possess firearms or ammunition. It goes on to state Busch must be evaluated for ''mental health problems related to anger control and impulse control.''

The order, which is good for a year, keeps the Nascar star 100 yards away from Driscoll; except for ''at NASCAR races and related events where closer proximity is required'' for Busch to ''perform his duties as a driver or sponsored athlete.''
