New Attractions for Beach Establishments

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.- Some Rehoboth Beach staples are starting Summer 2019 with new attractions.

At Funland, there's a new mural and blacklight artwork in honor of the Haunted Mansion's 40th anniversary. The amusement park is also selling a book on Funland's history and selling gourmet ice cream sandwiches.

"We try to update a little bit here and there," says Funland's Mark Henschke. "We are very excited about the way it came out and we are excited to see the public's reaction."

FEEL GOOD FRIDAY

Another beloved Rehoboth establishment, Revelation Craft Brewing, is switching it up by going farther north. Next Friday, Revelation will open a beer garden at Hudson Fields. The Beer Garden will have eight beers on tap, food trucks, and live music on the weekends.

"We are just excited to be providing another area for people to be able to come in, hang out, and have a good time while enjoying a good beer," says Revelation's Louis Schlecker. "Especially the more local areas that aren't necessarily as thrilled with coming down south on Route One traffic, I think it will give them a very nice place to come in and hang out without having to drive too far from their home."

Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Carol Everhart says in addition to a STEM program for children, there's tons of new attractions in the Nation's Summer Capital, both in town and on Route One.

"There's lots of new things," she says. "There's over 20 new opportunities for people to investigate and enjoy."
