New Seaford Football Coach Tries To Restore Football Program

(SEAFORD, Del.)- This football season the Seaford BlueJays have a new head coach to lead the squad and it's Dwayne Henry. Before taking the Seaford position Henry was the Athletic Director of Compilance at Coppin State in Baltimore. Coach Henry is also a former All-State Smyrna running back,Delaware University player, and coach at DSU. As a player he helped the team win its first-ever MEAC Championship.

The BlueJays are counting on him to have success and change the losing culture at Seaford. The program has only won seven games in the past five years. At this point in his tenure Coach Henry is concerned with developing the his players and focused on installing his game plan.

"Every time we put on an uniform we want to get better so we are taking steps to achieve that goal each and every day," said Coach Henry.

Coach Henry is teaching discipline and putting in the system he feels will achieve the most impact. He adds it is a long process and everyone can't expect immediate results.

The BlueJays begin the season September 11th on the road,as they play the Glasgow Dragons at 7 pm.
