REHOBOTH BEACH, De - Three teenage boys, all from Claymont, DE, are facing felony charges after their arrest by Delaware State Police. It followed a series of shoplifting incidents and a chase of a stolen vehicle on Wednesday afternoon in Rehoboth Beach.

It was around 3:19 p.m. when troopers say they responded to a shoplifting report at Under Armour on Bayside Outlet Drive. The teenagers, driving a tan Chevrolet Cruze headed north on Coastal Highway. A trooper attempted a traffic stop, but the driver ran a red light. The chase ended when the car, attempting a high-speed right turn onto Dartmouth Drive, collided with another vehicle after driving over a median.

Investigators say the boys had shoplifted over $5,000 worth of merchandise from Under Armour, Nike, and The North Face at Tanger Bayside Outlets. A computer check revealed that the Chevrolet had been reported stolen from Troop 1 on October 14, 2023.

All three were committed to Stevenson House Detention Center.
