Fins ribbon cutting

FINS Oyster Bar & Grill has opened its doors at the former JD Shuckers location.

GEORGETOWN, Del. — FINS Oyster Bar & Grill has opened its doors at the former JD Shuckers location.

The restaurant team shared the news of their opening after what they called an “exciting transformation” that took place in just a few days. The announcement promised a new atmosphere for locals, seafood lovers, and longtime fans of the FINS brand.

“The oysters are chilled, the grill is fired up, and we're ready to serve you,” the business posted on social media.

JD Shuckers closed its Georgetown location in mid-May. The restaurant was one of the newer additions to the Route 113 and Route 404 intersection, breaking ground in 2016.

"To our loyal customers, friends, and community - thank you," a page for the restaurant reads. "Your support and memories over the years have meant the world to us."

JD Shuckers still operates its location in Peddlers Village.

FINS in Georgetown is open 11 a.m.–9 p.m. daily. There are also FINS locations in Rehoboth Beach, Bethany Beach, and Selbyville.
