DELAWARE - Bayhealth, following the trend of several health systems in the region, has introduced mandatory masking measures for patients and visitors across its hospitals, outpatient locations, and Bayhealth Medical Group practices due to escalated patient volumes linked to rising cases of respiratory illnesses like Influenza, RSV, and COVID-19 within the community.
“As we enter the winter months, we encourage everyone to consider preventive options such as vaccination, masking, and proper hand hygiene and to seek appropriate treatment options such as a visit to your primary care provider, walk-in medical care or virtual urgent care when necessary," said Bayhealth VP Quality and Medical Affairs John Fink, MD, MSHQS.
