DOVER, Del. — Dover Motor Speedway will once again be part of NASCAR's Cup points-racing schedule. The Speedway announced that its next race weekend will take place May 15-16, 2027.

The NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series will open with the Bet Rivers 200 on Saturday, May 15. The NASCAR Cup Series will follow with a 400-mile race Sunday, May 16.

This season, DMS was host to the All-Star Race. It was a stand-alone event that did not factor into the regular season and in crowning the 2026 Cup Champion. It marked the first time since the track's inception in 1969 that Dover did not host a points race in NASCAR's top series.

"Whether it's a points race, an All-Star Race or a Chase race, one thing never changes—we work for the fans," said Mike Tatoian, president and general manager of Dover Motor Speedway. "They are the heart of everything we do, and we're constantly looking for ways to make every visit to The Monster Mile more entertaining than the last. Our goal is to create memories that last a lifetime, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back next spring for another outstanding weekend on and off the track."

The Cup Series race will mark the 58th consecutive year NASCAR's premier series has competed at Dover Motor Speedway and the track's 109th Cup Series event. Dover is one of 12 tracks in NASCAR history to host more than 100 Cup Series races.

The 2027 race will also give Denny Hamlin an opportunity to make NASCAR history. Hamlin will return to Dover seeking his fourth consecutive Cup Series victory at The Monster Mile. No driver has won four straight Cup Series races at Dover.
