May 14 marks 80 years since a Nazi Germany submarine surrendered off the cost of the U.S. as part of the end of World War II. We show you how Delaware played a part in the historic event.

80 years ago, in the days following the end of World War II in Europe, the waters off Cape Henlopen witnessed a historic moment: the first enemy warship to surrender in U.S. waters since the War of 1812. U-858 was towed to what is now the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park.
