(Georgetown, Del) - Some Delaware voters are headed to the polls today. It's Primary Election Day for members of the Democratic and Republican Parties. The state has a closed primary system, so those that don't belong to either party are not allowed to vote.
Democrats will choose a candidate for Lt. Governor, as well as as Insurance Commissioner and U.S. Congress. In additional Delaware House Speaker the Rehoboth area'd House District 14, Peter Schwartkopf is being challenged by Don Peterson.
On the Republican side, voters will choose a candidate for Govenor and Insurance Commissioner.
In Sussex County, voters in the second and third districts have to choose a candidate to run in November. There are also races in the thirty-third and thirty-fifth House Districts.
