LEWES, Del. - Locally grown produce, farm fresh meat, an assortment of grab n' go meals and more can soon be picked up at a new Redner's Fresh Market in Lewes.
The 49,000 square foot building will be constructed on a piece of land that's bordered by Route 9 and Nassau Commons Boulevard. The Pennsylvania-based Redner's Markets has partnered with Fernmoor Homes to build the store within the Vineyards Community, but it will be open to the public.Â
Marketing Director Eric White says this is the third Redner's Fresh Market to be built further inland. He says construction is expected to start in June and that Redner's Fresh Markets should open up in Lewes in Spring 2021. The store is not the same as the Fresh Market in Rehoboth Beach, which is owned by a North Carolina-based company.Â
"We have traditional grocery, but with our Redner's Fresh Markets, we have an expanded presence of our fresh prepared items, chef prepared items," says White. "We have an executive chef on board and on our team that'll help create the stores."
