Rehoboth Beach Woman Starts Foundation to Feed Starving Children

(Rehoboth Beach, Del.)- After a mission trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo, one Rehoboth Beach resident was inspired.

She adopted her daughter Miriam from the Congo. Then, she founded Miriam's Table, a non-profit organization that feeds more than 150 Congo children every day.

According to SaveTheChildren.org, one in every five children in the Congo will die from starvation by the time they are 5-years-old.

The organization is holding a fundraiser tonight at the Henlopen Oyster House until 9 p.m. 15 percent of your tab will be donated to the organization. By feeding yourself at the fundraiser, you will feed a starving child.

"We have so much here," said Jimenez, Rehoboth Beach resident. "We just have to share with them."
