Revelation Craft Brewing Company Joins with Hudson Fields to Create "Thankful Thursdays"

MILTON, Del.- Grab a seat and grab a drink, all for a good cause! Revelation Craft Brewing Company is already planning its summer beer gardens, this time, with a twist.

Fridays and Saturdays, the beer garden benefits Beebe Healthcare. Now, every Thursday the beer garden at Hudson Fields will support a different non-profit each week. The Thursday events are called, Thankful Thursdays.

"It's really to give back to the community. To gather people who haven't been out lately, to feel safe, and to actually come to support their local non-profits," said Kyle Shaffer with the brewery.

The schedule is packed with 20 non-profits, 20 weeks straight. Similar to last year's pop-up beer garden for Parkinson's Education and Support Group of Sussex County, the night will be filled with food, fun, and of course, beer.

"You might see some silent auctions items, maybe a 50 50 raffle, maybe more food or beverage offerings depending what the charity is able to put together," said Julie Hudson with Hudson Fields.

To make room for more people, Shaffer says they are revamping the space, keeping the outdoor area as safe as possible.

"More people friendly, family friendly, pet friendly. We are moving the stage out for the band to play but also on the grass in front of the stage we will add pods for people to bring their own chairs," said Shaffer.

CAMP Rehoboth is one of the non-profits scheduled for August. Just like most non-profits in the area, CAMP Rehoboth hasn't been able to host as many fundraisers or events.

"I bet we are down 33 percent from previous years. It's been a significant hit," said Anita Broccolino with CAMP Rehoboth.

The first Thankful Thursday kicks off June 3. Revelation says we can expect them to stick around for years to come.
