Say Good-Bye To Meter-Feeding in Ocean City

(OCEAN CITY, Md.)- It will now be easier than ever to pay for parking in Ocean City. The town is giving motorists a way around the meter-feeding-option.

Ocean City has teamed up with Parkmobile to provide residents, businesses, and visitors the ability to conduct parking transactions by mobile phone.

Customers are able to pay for parking from their smartphones by downloading Parkmobile's mobile application for iPhone, Android, Windows, Blackberry, and Amazon Fire smartphones.

"We are always looking for ways to improve our services and provide ease to our residents and visitors," said Ocean City Mayor Rick Meehan. "With a mobile parking app, families can spend more time on the beach or strolling the Boardwalk without having to leave the warm sand and salt air to pay the meter."

"We could not be happier to provide our mobile payments solutions to the Ocean City," said Cherie Fuzzell, CEO of Parkmobile, LLC. "We believe that by allowing customers to eliminate the need to swipe a card or feed coins to a meter, our service enhances the parking experience. We are very excited to partner with Ocean City to offer this technology, making it more convenient for customers."

Parkmobile's mobile payment system is simple and easy to use. Customers can register online at www.parkmobile.com or download the mobile app in their phone's app store. Once registered, they may use the mobile app, internet, or a toll-free number to pay for parking.
