(BERLIN, Md.)- Deputy Sheriffs of the Worcester County Sheriff's Office nab suspect in Seaford car theft Friday afternoon.
Deputies were dispatched to an address on Doe Drive in Berlin to assist with a stolen vehicle investigation reported to the Seaford Police Department. Upon arrival the deputies observed a vehicle matching the description of the stolen vehicle, police said.
During the investigation and subsequent interviews, it was learned that Jerrianne Morris, 36, of Seaford, stole the vehicle from the Seaford Wal-Mart parking lot.
Police said a tracking device that was installed on the vehicle identified the location where it was recovered. The total amount stolen was about $8,000.00.
Morris was charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle. A wanted check was conducted on Morris and revealed she had two District Court of Maryland Bench Warrants and an out of state warrant issued by Delaware.
She appeared before a District Court Commissioner and was held on a $25,000.00 bond for the Motor Vehicle Theft.
Morris was held on a $25,000.00 bond and a $20,000.00 unsecured bond on the Maryland District Court warrants. She was held without bond on the Delaware Fugitive Warrant.
