Governor Matt Meyer announced that Delaware has secured federal approval for a major broadband expansion plan. The plan targets areas with limited or no broadband service, particularly in rural communities.

According to a release from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration , the approval clears the way for the state to begin construction on networks that will connect 5,721 homes and small businesses still lacking reliable internet.
