Temperatures went up across Delmarva on Wednesday, April 15, marking the hottest day of the week and breaking previous records as the region experienced an early taste of summer.

People throughout Delmarva faced record-breaking heat on Wednesday, and despite the heat, several individuals still got outdoors with a bit more planning. 

According to court documents obtained by WRDE, Jimmie Allen and Wide Open Music are being sued in a civil suit that alleges the country singer and Delaware native sexually harassed and assaulted a woman.

As of 9:30 p.m. Saturday, police do not have the suspect in custody.

One person has died after a crash at the intersection of Route 1 and Union Street Extended, according to police. Route 1 was closed through rush hour and reopened around 10:40 a.m.

In January alone, 53 people died from suspected overdoses, which is a 47 percent increase over January 2022. Officials warn about drug use that includes fentanyl and a veterinary tranquilizer.
