An amendment (House Bill 365) to Delaware's lottery law was introduced in the State House of Representatives on Thursday that would expand mobile sports betting. Internet sports lottery operators would be required to pay a $500,000 fee for an initial five year license.

Maryland's casinos saw a slight increase in February revenue totaling about 1.6 million dollars. This is up just over one percent from February in the previous year. This helped contribute to the Education Trust Fund and small, minority- and women-owned businesses.

Fueled by the NFL playoffs, Maryland’s sports wagering market generated $8,246,847 in contributions to the state from a handle of $544,971,369 during January 2024. 

The $8.2 million contribution to the state surpassed the previous single-month high of $6.5 million in December 2023, and was nearly four times more than the January 2023 total of $2,114,613. The January 2024 handle was a 23.4% increase compared to January 2023.

Maryland’s six casinos combined to generate $165,629,163 in revenue from slot machines and table games during December 2023, an increase of $454,064 (0.3%) compared to December 2022.

However, Ocean Downs in Berlin was one of three that witnessed a decrease.  Ocean Downs is reporting $7,007,033 in December 2023, a decrease of $195,623 (-2.7%) from December 2022. The casino has 845 slot machines and 19 table games.
