...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 PM EDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN SUSSEX...SOUTHERN KENT...TALBOT...SOUTHEASTERN QUEEN
ANNE'S AND CAROLINE COUNTIES...

At 643 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Goldsboro to near Taylors Island, moving east at
35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
Dover, Easton, Milford, Denton, Harrington, Camden, Federalsburg,
Milton, Bridgeville, Greensboro, Oakland, Ridgely, Trappe, Preston,
and Ellendale.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for central and
southern Delaware...and eastern and northeastern Maryland.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...

* Until 800 PM EDT.

* At 630 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms producing waterspouts were
located along a line extending from near Cross Ledge Light to 7 nm
southwest of Bowers Beach to 19 nm east of Miles River, moving east
at 30 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, and small
hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Boats could suffer significant structural
damage in high winds. Small craft could capsize in
suddenly higher waves.

Miah Maull Light and Cross Ledge Light around 635 PM EDT.
Fourteen Foot Bank Light around 640 PM EDT.
Brandywine Shoal Light around 645 PM EDT.
Brown Shoal Light around 655 PM EDT.
Overfalls Shoal, Cape Henlopen, and Cape May Point around 705 PM
EDT.
Rehoboth Beach and Wildwood around 710 PM EDT.
Buoy 2ms and Buoy 3fb around 720 PM EDT.
Wildwood Reef around 725 PM EDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for central and
southern Delaware...and southern New Jersey.

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, small hail, high waves, lightning,
and heavy rain are expected with these storms. If caught on the open
water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal
objects.

located 7 nm northwest of Bowers Beach, moving east at 30 knots. A
confirmed tornado near Dover is moving toward Delaware Bay.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
