The City of Rehoboth Beach is calling on locals and experts to help secure historic designation for its iconic boardwalk. A new task force, formed to pursue recognition from both the Delaware Public Archives and the National Register of Historic Places, is now accepting applications.

The 288th historic marker in Sussex County was unveiled today at Block House Pond in the George H.P. Smith Park. The natural spring pond was named for the block house that was built nearby in the 1670's.
