South Bethany is trying to start the process of cleaning algae build-up in the canals. They usually use DNREC, but due to lack of staffing and broken machines, the town is trying to hire an outside contractor to clean up the algae.
Fenwick Island is planning on dredging the Little Assawoman Bay to add two boat channels so boats can navigate safely on the bay and other close by inlets.
