Former State Representative Ruth Briggs King announced Saturday her campaign to become Delaware’s next lieutenant governor. King was elected to the Delaware State House of Representatives in 2009 and served until 2023. The Delaware Republican Party has given King their endorsement.

Nikki Haley suspended her presidential campaign on Wednesday after being soundly defeated across the country on Super Tuesday, leaving Donald Trump as the last remaining major candidate for the 2024 Republican nomination. She didn’t endorse the former president- instead, she encouraged him to earn the support of the coalition of moderate Republicans and independent voters who supported her.
