The Delaware State Police is accepting applications through Aug. 28 for its 2026 Citizens Police Academy in Sussex County, a nine-week program offering participants an inside look at police operations and training.

Delaware State Police will conduct the year’s second DUI checkpoint tonight in Sussex County. The exact location and time will not be released. A March checkpoint stopped 590 vehicles and led to five DUI arrests.
