Georgetown men’s basketball coach Ed Cooley has been suspended by the school for one game after throwing a water bottle into the stands at the end of a loss to Xavier. Georgetown announced the punishment on Sunday. Cooley will sit out Monday's game against Coppin State, and associate head coach Jeff Battle will coach Georgetown instead. The Hoyas are 8-4 in Cooley's third season at the school. They lost 80-77 to Xavier on Saturday night to fall to 1-1 in Big East Conference play this season.
