One lucky person bought the winning ticket for the Powerball drawing held on Monday, April 6. The jackpot of $231 million and lottery officials said the ticket was purchased at the Acme in Middletown.
A $1 million lottery ticket was sold at a Rehoboth Beach Wawa and was claimed by a 45 year-old from the area.
The drawing for the game, including an estimated $1.3 billion jackpot, was delayed to enable one of the organizers to complete required procedures before the scheduled numbers reveal at 10:59 p.m. ET, Powerball said in a statement.
According to the Delaware Lottery, a $10,000 MEGA MILLIONS winning ticket must be claimed by January 6, 2024, and a $50,000 POWERBALL winning ticket needs to be claimed by January 9, 2024
According to the Delaware Lottery, the ticket was sold at the Giant in Millville.
Though the $1 billion Powerball jackpot was won Wednesday night on a ticket sold in California, one person in Greensboro, Md., is still a winner.
