Kevin Seefried of Laurel, who was known for carrying a confederate flag during the Jan. 6 capitol riot in 2021, has been granted early release from prison, according to court documents.
After a fight between two teenaged boys drew a crowd of over 300 people Wednesday night and two people allegedly set fireworks off on the boardwalk, injuring one, Bethany Beach Police arrested three teens.Â
The 17-year-old turned himself in to police on Tuesday. Two other suspects are still at large.
Heather Kepley was charged with misdemeanor offenses that include entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds and disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds.
Seefried wipe away tears throughout the sentencing, especially at the mention of his son. His lawyers said Seefried was "caught up in the moment" when he carried a Confederate flag into the Capitol and jabbed a police officer with it.
Milton man Jeffrey Schaefer was sentenced Friday with 30 days of incarceration, a $2,000 fine, and $500 restitution for his participation in the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.
