Gun-control groups are aligned with the Trump administration in arguing to uphold a law that bars people who regularly use marijuana from legally owning guns. On the other side, the American Civil Liberties Union and the National Rifle Association have lined up to argue against the law. In 2022, the Supreme Court expanded gun rights and found that any firearm laws must have a strong grounding in the nation’s history and tradition.
