(Marion Station, Md) A Somerset County teen is dead following an accident in Marion Station Friday afternoon. According to Maryland State Police the crash happened on Md. 413 when a car was waiting to turn into a driveway, and a box truck ran into the vehicle and pushed it into an oncoming car. 15 year old Andrea Joyner of Crisfield was killed. Her mother, 38 year old Patricia Joyner was flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. The driver and passenger in the truck were not seriously injured. The driver of the other car was hospitalized with non-life threatening injures. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. No charges have been filed. Once the investigation is completed, the Somerset County prosecutors will decide whether to pursue charges.
