It was the first day of USSSA Northeast Championships in Salisbury, and Alpha 12u came out on fire. Alpha put up a 6-spot in the opening frame thanks to some timely RBIs from Kenna Schaffner and Emily Romberger, among others.
The Montgomery Devils were able to inch closer with 2 runs in the bottom frame with an RBI single from Madison Braren and an RBI double from Caroline Brennan.
However, from there, it was all Alpha, as their bats helped them extend the lead and starter Allison Scherer shut the opposing lineup down to pick up the 14-4 win.
