FEDERALSBURG, Md. -- Although the high school season has come to an end, baseball season is just getting started on the Peninsula with summer and legion baseball fully underway.

One of those games included the Junior Legion baseball matchup between Wicomico and Caroline counties earlier today, which was halted by thunderstorms midway through.

Wicomico jumped out early in this one, building a 6-1 lead after the first inning and a half. However, Caroline would cut into the lead in the second by plating two runs - one on a Johnny Radcliff hit by pitch, and the other on a Austin Frank sacrifice fly.

However, that would be as close as Caroline would get, as Noah Riggen settled in on the mound in relief, holding the Caroline bats at bay.

Wicomico would add another run in the top of the fourth on a RBI single from Ayden Davis before the game was called due to thunderstorms. At that point, Wicomico led 7-3.
