CENTREVILLE, MD -- The Queen Anne's County Seniors had a happy sendoff, as the Lions defeated Stephen Decatur 46-28 to move to 6-1 on the season.

The Lions ferocious run game was on full display tonight, as Seniors Wilson Smothers Jr. and Ashton Siwald combined for six rushing touchdowns (four for Smothers, two for Siwald).

After entering the fourth quarter down 31-21, Stephen Decatur Quarterback Brycen Coleman found Trybe Wise on a corner end zone fade for a touchdown to cut the lead down to 3.

Queen Anne's ended any threat from there, however, as they marched down the field and let Smothers walk in from the one yard line to bring it back to a two-score lead. A two-point conversion on a fake extra point made the score 39-28.

Then, on the ensuing kickoff, Queen Anne's successfully converted a quick onside kick to steal a possession with just under six minutes remaining. They once again drove down the field, and then provided the dagger with a Siwald 20 yard, end-around touchdown run.

With the win, Queen Anne's now jumps Stephen Decatur in the Bayside standings, and they'll look to further their Bayside aspirations next week at Wicomico. Stephen Decatur, now 5-2, will look to keep up next week with another tough Bayside road matchup at Easton.
