St. Patty's Day Parade Draws A Big Crowd

(OCEAN CITY, MD)-On Saturday the second largest parade happened in the State Of Maryland. It was the annual St. Patty's Day Parade in Ocean City.

Mayor Rick Meehan said more than 100,000 people are in town for this year's parade.

"We are so fortunate that so many people come and you can look around and see they just did not happen to drop by but instead they planned to be here," said Mayor Meehan." A lot of families come here every year".

That is true for Shannon Kosser who has been coming to the St. Patty's Day Parade for many years. Kosser said she has so much fun.

"It is a great event," said Kosser. "It brings out all kinds of people and our entire family comes here every year".

Mayor Meehan said this parade is a great opportunity for everyone to celebrate the Irish Spirit of St. Patty's Day.
