MILFORD, Del.- Painter Steve Warren is retiring from the i.g. Burton body shop in Milford after a 42-year career.
He and his father combine for 90 years of service in the company. Warren started working with his father in the late 1960's at the Seaford store wiping down cars, washing cars, and any other job that needed to be done. He says he is not driving off into the sunset.
"I have mixed emotions but you know I've been looking forward to retirement for a while and I think it's time," Warren said. "I don't intend on completely really severing ties with them. But I do wish them the best and it's a good family and it'll continue on."
i.g. Burton & Company is one of the oldest auto dealers in the country having been in business for 113 years.
