(REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.) - Wind, not snow hammered Sussex County. Laurie Liberti felt some of the power of the wind while at work today. Liberti says, "It was a good morning until I heard a crash and turned around and there was a sign on top of my car."
Liberti was parked next to in the parking lot of Prime Lending on the coastal highway when the highway one sign fell from the pounding of the wind.
Delmarva Power was on the scene as downed power lines were a result of the sign falling.
Preston Hopkins works for Delmarva Power and said, "We had a billboard come down and pull down services to two separate buildings."
Liberti has called her insurance. She says her husband told her to work from home. Liberti has some friendly advice for drivers. She says, "Don't park underneath a sign when there is the wind."
