(Dover, Del) Delaware State Troopers are investigating a home invasion that occurred at Alder Park Apartments, Dover early Saturday morning. A call came into 911 about 5:35 from an apartment on Webbs Lane saying that someone had broken into his living quarters by firing a shotgun round at the door. The man had been asleep in his bedroom when he was abruptly woken up by a banging at his door. When he exited his bedroom and entered the kitchen, a gunshot was heard and the door was pushed open. Two men briefly entered the apartment, but then departed without any items and fled the building running toward the rear of the complex. The resident was uninjured.
The suspects were described as black males, 5'07"-5'09" tall, 140-150 lbs. One suspect was wearing a dark jacket and light blue jeans. There was no clothing description given for the second suspect. One of the males was possibly armed with a shotgun.
