REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.- Monday morning marked the official opening of the new Taco Reho. The new fast-food restaurant is in the old Burger King building on Coastal Hwy in Rehoboth Beach.
Owner and founder of Taco Reho says it was a bitter-sweet decision to decide to move from taco truck, to brick and mortar. But the previous location, in the Big Chill Surf Cantina parking lot, was getting too busy for just a food truck.
"The response has been awesome...Everyone is saying it's tasting like the truck which is a huge thing for us," said Lucas, owner and founder of Taco Reho.
Inside is filled with rock and roll inspired art installations. From a drum chandelier, o a speaker wall, and even the bathrooms feel like the dressing room of a rock and roll concert. There is also what's called a "guitar bar". It's a bar made to look like half a guitar, created by local artist Dan Garcia. The second half of the guitar is on the patio for outdoor dining.
"We've enjoyed their food and their fun and we're really excited to have them here to have a footprint and make the excitement even better than just truck side," said taco fan, Rich Shipley.
The truck will still be available to be rented for parties and events. But while it's not in use, it will stay in the Taco Reho parking lot.
Taco Reho is now open every day from 11- 10.
