If you like Girl Scout cookies, you'll love this story! Today thousands of cookie boxes were delivered to our Chesapeake Bay Girl Scout troops. Interested in buying some? The scouts will begin selling these cookies at various local businesses on Friday, February 10! They offer a gluten free cookie, and here's a fun fact......thin mints are vegan!
The money raised from selling the cookies will go to members of our military overseas, and to local Delmarva charities. The girl scouts will also use the money to keep their scouting program thriving. It's used to fund experiences that are both fun and educational.
We spoke with some of the scouts, including Zoriah, Angelina, Kaitlyn, and Ellie, who shared some information about the Girl Scout community. We also spoke with two troop leaders and former girl scouts themselves, Amie and Kathleen, who are happy to have daughters that are keeping the scouting traditions alive!
